Day #4: Fireman Brigade's Spicy Sausage on a Bun & Corn on the Cob

Today is Day #4, and after yesterday's fiasco at "Boardwalk BBQ" I knew I had to come back to get food that will satisfy my craving for meat. However, after seeing the smaller portion of food I received yesterday I felt a little jaded and worried since I knew I was going to order something I have not had in the past. I made sure to eat my salad for lunch at work so that I wouldn't accidentally put myself in a "hangry" state again.

I walked over to the "Fireman's Brigade BBQ" and as I scanned the menu I realized that in all the years of visiting the park I have never ordered the spicy sausage meal before. I had heard great things mentioned about it in some of the influencer videos I watched during my research, but since their last recommendation didn't pan out so well I had VERY low expectations. However, I felt like if there was going to be any safe bet it was going to be at Fireman's Brigade.

I stood in line and waited the usual 20-ish minutes for my food and Boysenberry Punch, but this time I was definitely not disappointed. I am not sure what kind of spice or chili pepper was in the sausage, but it was extremely good. Just like all the meat at this location, the sausage was perfectly charred without being overly black. The bun was toasted, but not dry, and the corn on the cob was pretty flavorful with the addition of butter, salt, and pepper. I added a small container of BBQ sauce to my sausage, and it was perfect. I normally do not like to eat BBQ sauce when I have hot dogs, but with the spicy sausage it was perfect.

For this meal I would probably have to put it in the same category as the smoked turkey leg, so I award it a solid 9/10. It was large enough to satisfy my appetite, but not too large that I felt bloated after the fact. The meal would have cost $17.50 without the pass, so with the drink I saved a total of $23 for my dinner. I will definitely come back another time to have this meal again.

*I was so hungry on this day that I forgot to take a picture of my meal, but I found a picture of the same spicy sausage in a bun on Yelp, but this person ordered it with a side of coleslaw instead of corn on the cob.

Final Thoughts

I took the time to calculate my amusement park meals for all 10 visits, and in total they would have cost me $249 exactly. In total I saved...
